HOW TO APPLY ?

Email and telephone remain the means most used by employers. It is better to find a job and accomodation before arriving at the ski resort. Getting around can be useful, but in the off-season almost all the establishments are closed. If you decide to come on site, do it for an appointment or a job forum.

COMING TO VAL D’ISERE WITH A CAR ?

It is mandatory to have winter tires (at least two). Otherwise, you risk having an accident and/or getting stuck. However, you should know that car parks in Val d’Isère are relatively expensives and places are limited. It is therefore necessary to anticipate registration and budget, plan between 200€ and 400€ for outdoor park and between 500€ and 1000€ for a cover parking. LINK

LIFE IN A SKI RESORT ?

– Informations: our office is open all year long. The association provides you “season guides” and computers for free . We have set up an association membership card offering discounts with our partners. As well as insurance for your leasure sports activities for winter and summer. With the help of our volonteers, we also offer throughout the year events and activities for free !

– Shopping: all supermarkets in Val d’Isère as well as certain partner shops offer discounts on presentation of your membership card. However, keep in mind taht life in the resort is more expensive than in the valley.

– Health: long working hours, parties, cramped accomodations… are major factors of stress and fatigue that could harm your health. The group effect with other seasonal workers and the festive spirit in the resort can lead you risky behavior (alcohol, lack of sleep…) or even dangerous and harmful behavior (drug use, falling asleep at night in the snow, fights…)

Be very careful and aware to set limits to yourself.
