YOUR ATTACHMENT TO THE GENERAL SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM
As an employee, you must be attached to the general social security system and you are affiliated with the health insurance fund of your place of residence: primary health insurance fund (CPAM).
You are entitled to reimbursement of your health costs in the event of illness or maternity solely because of your professional activity.
Subject to meeting certain conditions, in particular justifying a minimum working period or a minimum amount of contributions, you can also benefit from cash benefits from health, maternity, invalidity and death insurance.
You benefit from accident at work – occupational disease insurance (AT/MP) as soon as you are hired, with no eligibility conditions to fulfill.
Note: if you are an agricultural employee, you are attached to the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA) scheme.
